Employment Resources for Immigrants in London-Middlesex

The following service providers specialize in employment and settlement services for immigrants and newcomers in London-Middlesex.  Most services are free of charge.
 

WIL Employment Connections (WIL)

An Employment Ontario service provider specializing in immigrant employment since 1984.  WIL provides employment counsellors, employment preparation workshops, volunteer work placements and job search supports including direct hire opportunities with hundreds of local employers. 

 

Access Centre for Regulated Employment

The Access Centre for Regulated Employment provides information and application assistance to internationally trained individuals seeking licensure or related employment in Ontario’s regulated professions.

 

Bridge Training Programs

Fanshawe College offers bridge training programs for internationally trained professionals in certain occupations (eg. Nursing).

 

Cross Cultural Learner Centre (CCLC)

CCLC provides a Job Search Workshop for pre-employment assistance in addition to a full range of settlement resources and assistance, including orientation about living in Canada, the health care system, social services, legal issues, housing and education.  Referral services to other community supports and programs are also available.

 

South London Neighbourhood Resource Centre (SLNRC)

SLNRC’s settlement counsellors assess newcomers’ needs and help them make informed decisions and referrals according to their individual goals.  SLNRC also provides a Job Search Workshop for pre-employment assistance.

 

LUSO Community Services

LUSO offers programs specifically designed for immigrants, newcomers and refugees including settlement services and an employment support program. 

 

College Boreal

An Employment Ontario service provider specializing in programs/services for French language immigrants seeking employment in English and French speaking work environments.  Help with employment and interview preparation, skills training, resume and cover letter help, job search and networking skills.

 

London Employment Help Centre

Offers information and employment assistance to internationally trained individuals.
